We have had the most unusual spring that i can remember. I see this has been happening all across this US. Because of our very wet and cold spring our landscape has been different. There are wild flowers and grasses i did not see last year due to the fact this time last year it was blazing hot.
Our sunsets have been unusual. Every evening i watch like a child to see what beauty unfolds. This was taken night before last.
It seemed the sky was changing so fast i almost didn`t have time to get all the shots i wanted.
I have never seen the sunset like this one where the rays stayed in one place throughout the space of time it takes the sun to finally dip below the horizon.
This was taken, June 18Th. Seven years ago my grandmother died on this day so this is the sunset that greeted me. It was as if my grandmother was letting me know she is still close by.
This is how the sky looked as it was preparing its canvas for the finale of the previous sunset photo.
Another preview !!
The grasses have grown amazingly beautiful this spring.
Most of us live so tight within everyday restraints that we, for a moment maybe wish we could let the facade of our life allow, at least for myself, be free to lay in a field of grass and watch the cloud shapes and know all is right. Childhood is calling.
This grass is waist high. When our dog plays in it she disapears....hummm i wonder !!
I have never seen a rainbow this low to the ground before. Another unusual spring day in the Jackson County Oregon valley.
It looks dark and ominous but it didn`t last to long.Had just a few sprinkles of rain.
Awesome view from top of Table rock. I haden`t hike to the top in many years but gave it a go...and as you can see i made it !!
I have been reacquainting myself as if i am a stranger here, with the beauty that is around me. In some ways i am a stranger here, living within the self made confines of my life. I guess we all have to take baby steps to break free and leave the fear behind.
