Still Learning

I am happy to see that I`ve actually gotten some positive feedback on the photo I have entered in the contest for this month. It`s exciting!
This is my first time to do anything like this. I have always loved taking pictures but haven`t thought of it as a hobby until a couple of years ago. I hope to gain insight and ideas to further develop my photographing skills. Maybe one day I`ll be able to display my work in an art gallery or even start my own business!
But I do know I have a lot to learn and a long way to go. I also know I have to get a better camera. Right now, I`m rocking a Nikon Cool Pix. It`s done great so far, but I think it`s time to branch out to a more skilled camera. If anyone has suggestions, let me know!
I was inspired to take pics, for the first time, of flowers outside of my house yesterday. It was lightly raining, so they had a nice water-effect. It went well, for the first time. I`m inspired to keep trying!
