This week just went from bad to worse by lindaw

I stopped on my way to work to get some money out for the weekend and I was denied. I know my check dropped because I run payroll and I have direct deposit. I tried again and denied again. I get to work and check my account online and every last dime of my paycheck has been stolen. They used it to pay for Avon, a dating svc, and a gaming site. So, far I know I'm getting reimbursed for Avon and the dating site but can't get a hold of the gaming site. Either way I have no access to my money until next week.

So, after I get all those phone calls handled I try to log onto the accounting program to get some work done and I get an error messege. I am being denied access. I run a virus scan and have over 900 viruses. I pay my own personal bills online while I'm at work and just happened to pay them at the beginning of this week on that same computer. So, it's either a huge coincidence or the info was taken from my work computer. I've already notified the bank that my employer uses just in case, but so far that money hasn't been touched.

I can't get on my work computer at all so I'm on another one and have nothing to do the rest of this day while at work. I'm dead in the water... so here i am. lalalalala .. Hope everyone else is having a much better day then I am. TGIF..lol ugh.

	enigma4u Jul 30 2010 1:22PM Had this happen to me about 5 years ago or so...by me making all my own phone calls to vendors they charged to, I had my money back in three days...wish you well!
	rdangel Jul 30 2010 1:25PM this exact same thing just happened to a friend of mine yesterday.. wiped out 700 from their account buying things online. the police and the bank said it''s happening so many times a day, every day to people, that they are having a hard time keeping up. I hope you get it all straightend out

The others already verified that I would be reimbursed so it''s just down to the gaming place now. Hopefully this will all be resolved soon... it''s just so frustrating.

	lindaw Jul 30 2010 2:02PM No, Avon said they wouldn''t be able to verify the debit card that was used. They just checked to see if an order was placed with my name. My name wasn''t used so they said that order wouldn''t have been filled anyway. If all the info doesn''t match they won''t ship the order.

	lindaw Jul 30 2010 2:24PM Yes, I called first thing and they also froze my account so no other transactions can go thru. I kind of think it is what you''re saying about people getting on your puter remotely and that''s why I can''t access the accounting program I use either.

	lindaw Jul 30 2010 3:51PM I called the bank as soon as I walked in the door this morning. They froze my account and issued me a new card. The police said they don''t handle it because it''s not a local theft it''s online which is an FBI issue. I have to fill out some paperwork and go from there. What a pain!
